Tissue Donors Restore Life and Hope

When donors die and transplants occur, most media attention goes to organ transplants. Although tissue donation lacks the immediate life-saving drama of a heart transplant, it is no less dramatic to restore sight with a donated cornea, prevent the amputation of a leg with donated bone or improve a burn victim's chances of survival with donated skin.
