Rick Williams prays for the "departed soul" of the donor as he prepares for his heart transplant. He thinks that he is ready, but in the operating room he finds that the need for faith and courage comes from unexpected events. In the meantime, Gary continues to recover from his kidney transplant, while a husband decides to spare his wife what could easily be years of waiting for a kidney from a deceased donor, by giving her one of his own.
